Here are some finished projects … I’ll update with patterns/yarns used, etc. one of these days eventually soon!
Opal Sock Yarn, Lollipop. Size 3 needles – 1st socks I ever made, and I still love ‘em & wear ‘em as often as I can.
From “Folk Mittens” – 1st attempt at 2 colors with 2 hands – not bad!
1st sweater I ever finished – Lion Brand acrylic, from a free pattern on the Lion Brand Yarn site. I picked this yarn because it was inexpensive, and the pattern because there was really no shaping to be done – this was my first attempt at knitting something other than a scarf. It fits ok, it’s still in my closet, but I’ve moved on to wool, and there’s no going back.
My first “real” sweater pattern – Original Peace Fleece Cardigan. Except I used Classic Elite Skye Tweed yarn, which is somewhat lighter than the Peace Fleece. It’s not as dense as the original, and the sleeves are way too long, but I just roll up the cuffs and wear it. It’s a great, comfortable sweater, and the tweed bits in the yarn look wonderful-these pics don’t do it justice.
Before and after blocking – Knitpicks Hanging gardens stole.
Peace Fleece “Coup d’etat Cardigan”, ordered as a kit from Camilla Valley Farm. Great service, wonderful to deal with! I am in love with this sweater – it’s warm, it looks wonderful and it’s just a pleasure to wear!
